Super Day at the Allianz 3rd and 4th Class Football Blitz in Ballinakill

The sun shone in Ballinakill at the 3^rd and 4^th class football blitz on the 15^th May. Participating schools in the Boys Football Blitz included: Kilcommon, Aughrim, Laragh, Rathdrum, Shillelagh, Bearna Chlé, Avoca, Crossbridge and Coolfancy. Participating schools in the Girls Football Blitz included: Shillelagh, Aughrim, Crossbridge, Coolafancy, Avoca and Kilcommon. Congratulations to Aughrim who won the Girls Football Final and to Rathdrum who won the Boys Football. Thanks to Ballinakill for the use of their facilities and to the referees, teachers, parents and volunteers who made the day possible. Special mention to referee Liam who started refereeing in 1964 and was there in Ballinakill still promoting our games. Most importantly well done to all the boys and girls who participated.
