Dunlavin Win West Wicklow Allianz Coughlan Cup in Style

Dunlavin National School won the West Wicklow Coughlan Cup last week after a serious of great matches played in Blessington. Baltinglass N.S, Hacketstown N.S, Lacken N.S, Valleymount N.S, Blessington No 1 N.S, Blessington Educate Together N.S, Donard N.S, Dunlavin N.S and Kilbride N.S all took part on the day and the level of skill in testing conditions was very good. The matches were all 7 A Side with unlimited subs and no goalkeeper. Points only were counted as scores and this gave all children a opportunity to practice their point scoring. After all games in both groups were finished it was Dunlavin N.S and Blessington No 1 N.S who met in the final. The final was a very exciting match with some great scores from both teams with Dunlavin N.S just shading it at the final whistle.
