Boys’ Allianz Football League Day 1

Day 1 of the Boys’ Allianz Football League was held in Bray Emmets on 5^th March. This was an 11 a-side competition with no age limit and games were ten minutes each half. A great day was had by all with plenty of fine skill on show. Schools that were represented on the day were in Division 1 – St. Cronan’s, Rathdrum, St. Kevin’s and Scoil Chualann, Division 2 – Newtown, Kilcoole, Gaelscoil Cill Mhantáin and St. Fergal’s, Division 3 – St. Laurence’s, Roundwood, St. Peter’s, Kilmacanogue and St. Brigid’s and Division 4 – Curtlestown, Moneystown, Gaelscoil na gClocha Liath and Gaelscoil Uí Cheadaigh. Thanks to Bray Emmets for the use of their fine facilities, to all the referees and to Garrett Doyle in his help in organising such a successful event. Day 2 will be held next Wednesday 12th March in Bray Emmets at 11 o’clock. All teams will play each other again on Day 2 and the team on top of the division will win the league. In the event of a tie there will be a play off. Best of luck to all involved!
