Fantastic Turnout at Girls’ Allianz Football League

Body:

There was a fantastic turnout for the Allianz Girls' football blitz in Roundwood on Tuesday May 6th. A record breaking seventeen teams took part, well done to all in attendance. Winners on the day were Kilmacanogue N.S ( group 5), Kilcoole Primary School (group 4), St. Fergal's Bray ( group 3), Holy Rosary, Wicklow (group 2) and St. Patrick's (group 1). 'Imreoir den Scoth' awards went to Laura Butler (St.Patrick's, Bray), Jessica Butler ( Holy Rosary), Nicole Keogh (St. Fergal's), Charlie (Gaelscoil Ui Cheadaigh) and Jamie (Kilmacanogue N.S). Best of luck to all teams who will now go on to represent our area on finals day in Ballinakill and to St.Patrick's, Bray who will represent Wicklow at half time in the Wicklow v Laois senior football championship game on May 17th in Aughrim. Thanks to all who helped out on the day, organising pitches, referring, taking photographs etc.
