Gaelscoil Inbhir Mhor took the spoils in the Girls Allianz Football League

The Allianz Cumann na mBunscol girls football blitz was held on Wednesday March 25th in Bray Emmets. Nine schools took part on the day, Kilcoole Primary School, Newtown, Kilmacanogue, Scoil Chualann, Gaelscoil Inbhir Mhor, St. Brigids Greystones, St.Kevins Greystones and a special welcome to newcomers Nunscross N.S, Ashford and Powerscourt N.S. It was a great day of girls Gaelic and tremendous effort was given by all girls!

Gaelscoil Inbhir Mhor took the spoils in division 1 and St.Kevins claimed 2nd place showing huge improvements since the Autumn blitzes, they will be a school to watch next year! Abbie Ní hÈilí from Inbhir Mhor was awarded the 'Imreoir den Scoth' award in division 1 as was Taylor Bradon from Kilcoole Primary School in division 2. Kilmacanogue won division 2 in an exciting final game against Kilcoole who came 2nd, this game really came down to the wire! 
Winners and runners up in both division now qualify for the county finals in Ballinakill in April. Huge thanks to Bray Emmets for use of their grounds and to those who helped set out the pitches and referee on the day.
