Young Whistlers

As part of a new initiative, Allianz Cumann na mBunscol Cill Mhantáin have decided to launch the 'Young Whistlers' programme. This course is a one day training programme which aims to teach children the skills needed to become a Gaelic football referee. The programme will be aimed at 5th class boys and girls and it is hoped these 'young whistlers' will be able to develop their skills in school and showcase their refereeing skills at Gaelic indoor and participation blitzes which will be organised in the 2nd and 3rd term.  At the moment we are looking for the names of schools that would be interested in sending along a 5th class girl and boy to participate in the training programme.

Date: Thursday 19th November

Venue: Bray Emmets

Time 3-4.30pm

The course will be run by experienced referee and primary school teacher David Gough. Parents/ Guardians must be on the grounds for the duration of the course.

More details will follow once your school has confirmed its interest in the programme.

Contact Claire Frawley, Runaí, Cumann na mBunscol Cill Mhantáin if interested.

Allianz Tráth na gCeist

The annual Allianz Cumann na mBunscol Tráth na gCeist will take place on Thursday November 19th at 7.30pm in Lynhams of Laragh. If your school is interested in taking part please contact cuddihybilly@gmail.com as soon as possible. If each school taking part could bring at least 2 raffle prizes for the night that would be great!

It's always a great night so get the pens and pencils ready and we look forward to seeing you there!
