Indoor Gaelic Football a big hit with 3rd and 4th class boys

Body:

9 teams took part in the annual 7 a side Gaelic Football tournament in Loughlinstown last Thursday. There was great excitement, matches on in all 3 halls and balls flying in all directions.  For most of the boys this was their first time representing their school and wearing the school jersey and boy did it mean a lot to them! They played with pride and passion showing great skill and commitment.  Matches were keenly fought and very little separated the teams in the end.  Patrick Ó Conchubhair, Cathal Mac Maoláin and Nathan Prunty, 3 newly qualified young whistlers took charge of proceedings.  As the games progressed you could see their confidence growing and by the last match all players knew who was in charge.

Shoreline, Greystones also hosted the Allianz Boys Indoor Football Blitz for 3rd and 4th Class boys.  Schools in attendance, bringing a couple of teams, were St Pats, Greystones Educate Together and Kilcoole.  The boys played with great determination and they honed their skills to the indoor game as the games went on.  The pace of the games was very fast and all the boys went home having played lots of football.  They played with great skill, enthusiasm and represented their schools impeccably.  The Young Whistlers in charge were all from Kilcoole:  R Kelly, L Stokes, M Longmore, C Nagle and A O'Brien.  They did a super job and can be very proud of their performances.  A great day was had by all!
