Superb Turnout at Allianz 5th and 6th Class Boys Football Participation Days
Allianz Cumann na mBunscol Cill Mhantáin hosted a participation based blitz for 5th and 6th class boys in Bray Emmets on Wednesday and Thursday 26th and 27th October.
Day 1
Teams that attended were St Laurence's 1, 2 and 3, St Patrick's BNS 1 and 2, Scoil Chualann, Kilcoole NS, Newtownmountkennedy NS, Gaelscoil Ui Cheadaigh 1 and 2, Roundwood NS 1 and 2, Gaelscoil Cill Mhantain 1 and 2 and Moneystown NS. Well done to all the boys who participated in a great day.
Day 2
A number of schools, namely Rathnew 1 and 2, Ashford 1 and 2, St Kevin's 1,2,3 and 4, Greystones Educate Together 1 and 2, St Brigid's 1 and 2, St Fergal's 1 and 2, Arklow Gaelscoil, St Peter's, Kilmacanogue responded to the participation based ethos positively sending multiple teams resulting in 3 groups of 4 and 1 group of 5. This combined with the superb turnout on Wednesday 26th shows the great appetite for Gaelic Games in our schools at the moment. Great skills were on show throughout the day and all games were played in the correct sporting manner. A special mention to Young Whistlers Niall and Cara from 6th class in St Kevin's Greystones for officiating on the day and to Charlotte from 6th class in Kilcoole who officiated on Wednesday.
