3rd / 4th Class Indoor Boys’ Football
Allianz Cumann na mBunscol Chill Mhantáin's first outing of Term 2 and 2018 was the 3rd/4th Class Boys' Indoor Blitz held in Shoreline Leisure Centre, Greystones on Friday 19th January. With an unprecedented number of teams interested in this event the participation blitz has been split over 2 days, the second of which will take place on Friday 2nd February.
Day 1's itinerary was split into 2 sessions with one team from Kilcoole NS, three from St.Laurence's Greystones & two from St.Cronan's Bray all throwing in at 10am for Session 1. They fulfilled 15 fixtures between them that morning. Day 1's second session comprised of two teams from Scoil na Coróine Mhuire Ashford, two from St.Patrick's Wicklow Town and two teams from St. Brigid's Greystones. This session began at 11.30 and again 15 fixtures took place amongst the 6 teams.
There were some fine examples of skill, teamwork and sportsmanship shown by all schools, which is a credit to their teachers/coaches, parents and club coaches. Allianz Cumann na mBunscol would like to thank all the participating schools for attending, the Young Whistler for officiating, as well as Garrett Doyle, our County GDO, for insuring the blitz ran smoothly.
We look forward to the next day out when we'll have teams from St. Laurence's Greystones, Newtown, St.Peter's Bray, Gaelscoil Uí Cheadaigh Bré, Scoil Chulann Bré, St. Kevin's Greystones and Moneystown.
