Fantastic Skills on Show at Indoor Camogie and Hurling Blitz
The Allianz Cumann na mBunscol Indoor Hurling and Camogie blitz took place on November 23rd in Shoreline Leisure Centre, Greystones. Teams from 3rd and 4th classes took part. The focus on the day was on participation. All teams demonstrated excellent teamwork, skill and fantastic ground hurling. Two Young Whistlers from Kilcoole Primary School, Maeve Butler and Nessa Drumgoole, did a fantastic job refereeing the games. Well done to all who took part and to Garrett Doyle for organising the day. The participating teams included Scoil Chualann, Newtownmountkennedy, Kilcoole, St Fergals, St Cronans, St. Laurence's, St Pat's and Gaelscoil Ui Cheadaigh.
The final Indoor Hurling/Camogie blitz will take place on 30th November in Shoreline, Greystones. If your school has not been contacted and you are interested you can get in contact with Garrett Doyle. Indoor hurleys and helmets will be provided if required. This is a great way to try out hurling and camogie, particularly for schools new to the skills. All schools are welcome to participate.
