Super Start for Wicklow Times Shield
The Allianz Cumann na mBunscol Wicklow Times Shield Day 1 got off to a super start in Bray Emmets on Thursday March 5th. This is the first round of the competitive Girls Gaelic blitz for this Cumann na mBunscol year. All hands were on deck as 23 teams competed over 11 pitches in the group stages. The games were played at a blistering pace supported by Transition Year students from local schools who have been trained as Young Referees. At the end of the day results were tallied and sore legs were rested in preparation for Day 2 which will take place on Thursday March 19th. Well done to the following schools who took part and who were complimented by all in attendance for their skills and their manners and respect shown to opposing teams. We look forward to seeing you on Day 2.
